Charles Darwin’s Library is a digital edition and virtual reconstruction of the surviving books owned by Charles Darwin. This BHL special collection draws on original copies and surrogates from other libraries. It also provides full transcriptions of his annotations and marks. In this library is provide 330 of the 1480 titles, concentrating on the most heavily annotated books.
It is worth knowing that in addition to the list of already scanned books (Current Book List), we have an index of Darwin's marginal notation topics (General Index) with direct redirections to scans of original pages of books with a specific handwritten note! We can also use the search engine (Search Charles Darwin's Library): books/magazines or words/phrases from the researcher's notes.
